Welcome to another exciting season of Trident Swim & Dive! We are off to a great start and look forward to a fun and successful summer together. Please take a few minutes to review the updates, reminders, and upcoming events below.
Season Kickoff
Our first week of practice is in the books! The water was a bit chilly, but our swimmers jumped right in and got to work. It was great to see so many athletes showing determination, resilience, and a willingness to push through the discomfort. Building mental toughness is an important part of the sport, and our swimmers got an early opportunity to demonstrate it this week. Great job, Team!
Practice Schedule Reminder: Practices will continue on the evening schedule throughout the upcoming week.
Coach's Corner
Practice Suit Reminder from Coach Steve
To help swimmers get the most out of practice, all athletes are required to wear competitive-style swimwear during practices.
Girls: One-piece competitive swimsuits only. Two-piece suits are not permitted.
Boys: Jammers or briefs only. Swim trunks are not permitted.
Thank you for helping your swimmers arrive prepared and ready to train.
Need a Practice Suit?
If your swimmer needs a practice suit, D&J Sports in Coopersburg is a great local option or suits can be purchased through online retailers like SwimOutlet. The links are examples of competitive style suits.
Girls: One-piece competitive swimsuits
Please note that swimmers do not need expensive racing or technical suits for practice. Any appropriately fitting competitive-style practice suit is acceptable.
Team Support Sign-Ups
Team Support job sign-ups will go live in SwimTopia on June 1 at 8:00 PM.
We encourage families to sign up as early as possible and select opportunities that work best with their schedules throughout the season. As a reminder, each family is expected to fulfill the team's 5-point Team Support requirement.
If meeting the Team Support requirement will create a hardship for your family, please contact Team Support Coordinator Julie Rohe at [email protected] no later than June 15 to discuss alternative Team Support options.
Thank you for helping make our swim season successful. Team Support is essential to running home meets, championships, and team events, and we appreciate every family's contribution.
Swim Team Committee Updates
Tie-Dye Shirt Fundraiser - Fun Friday, July 19
Join us for our first Fun Friday of the season and create your own Trident tie-dye shirt!
Each participant will receive a Trident Swim & Dive Team logo shirt, and all tie-dye supplies will be provided. Parents and siblings are welcome to join in the fun, making this a great activity for the whole family.
Details:
- Date: July 19
- Cost: $15 per person
- Toddler, Youth, and Adult sizes available
- All tie-dye supplies included
- Parents and siblings welcome
These custom Trident shirts will be perfect for showing team spirit and wearing to swim meets throughout the season!
Shirt Order Deadline: June 4
To ensure we have the correct shirt sizes available, all orders must be submitted by June 4.
