As I reflect on Championship Weekend, I simply want to say thank you.
Hosting the 2026 ABE League Swimming Championships was an incredible opportunity for Trident and something I was honored to help organize. While the Championship meet lasted only two days, it represented months of planning and preparation.
As the weekend approached, our Trident families showed exactly what makes this team so special. Whether you volunteered for Team Support, donated food or supplies, worked in the snack bar, sold raffle tickets, helped with setup or cleanup, welcomed visiting teams, or simply jumped in wherever help was needed, your generosity and willingness to help made all the difference.
Throughout the weekend, we received countless compliments from coaches, officials, swimmers, and families from across the ABE League about how organized, welcoming, and well-run the Championship meet was. Every one of those compliments belongs to our Trident volunteers and staff. You represented our team and club with pride and showed what our community is all about.
To make the weekend even more memorable, our swimmers delivered an outstanding performance in the pool, earning a third-place overall finish while we hosted one of the league's biggest events. That is an accomplishment our entire team should be incredibly proud of.
Thank you also to our coaches for their leadership throughout the season and for helping our athletes grow in confidence, skill, and sportsmanship. And to our swimmers and divers, thank you for your hard work, determination, and the way you represented Trident all summer long.
