This is a non-DQ meet for 10 and Unders and all eligible are encouraged to enter! Participant awards (rubber duckies) as well as Heat winner awards will be given! Swim-A-Thon

Wednesday (7/3) is our annual Swim-A-Thon! Swimmers will arrive at practice at their normal practice times and will spend most of practice swimming a single distance. Our coaches will give each practice group a distance to aim for. This year's theme is Show Your Orange! Wear your team suit (or any black/orange suit). This long swim is going to be fun; once their laps are finished we will be having a kickboard battle, backstroke cup relay, bobbing for oranges as well as games on the land. The Swim-A-Thon form is attached below and we will also have some you can pick up at practice this week. Swimmers are asked to raise a minimum of $25 for our swim team. This fundraiser is 100% geared toward swim team improvements and expenses. Prizes this year include Assistant Coach for the Day and a free swimming lesson for the overall winner of each practice group. We'd like to get the whole family involved, if you are interested in either a Parent/Child relay or a Family relay please email me at [email protected] and I will coordinate having the relays either during the swim-a-thon or possibly during the Fourth of July games at the pool. |

2019 OV Otters Pentathlon

ATTENTION ALL TRIDENT TEAM MEMBERS AGES 9-14. RSVP here for the Orchard View Pentathlon held on Friday evening, June 28th! **You must register here by Sunday, June 23rd at noon The OV Pentathlon is open to all swimmers ages 9-14. All swimmers compete in all 4 Strokes. Times for each event will be added together, and the TOP FIVE (5) swimmers with the fastest cumulative times in each age group will compete in the Individual Medley. Trophies awarded to Top 3 Boys & Girls in Each Age Group. ALL swimmers will receive an Otter Pentathlon Keepsake! OV will have a DJ, Kona Ice, and D&J Sporting Goods all onsite. You can expect H-O-T Heats and more! They anticipate limiting participation so they can finish before dark. First come, first served. Times count as official ABE times (for championships but do not count as one of the required dual meets for the summer. Rain date is Saturday morning, June 29th. Register now and bring a check for the $20 entry fee to practice this week, made payable to TRIDENT SWIM CLUB (as we will be turning in one payment from our team to OV). The Meet Announcement that was emailed to our Trident members has more details but Warm-ups will be held from 4-5 pm and the meet starts at 5:15 pm. |
